The Swedish yacht "Miss Behavior" has had a brilliant debut in the 7th Mediterranean Cup in the Dragon class, a competition organized by the Club de Regatas Puerto Portals, which brings together 21 boats from seven countries. The team led by Jan Secher won the two races that were held yesterday in the Bay of Palma in a good south westerly breeze.

The competition started shortly after midday with a 0.9 mile race. The first race was sailed with an average wind intensity of 10 knots, with gusts reaching 15 knots at times. The start was a little tricky, with five boats off the line, which were penalized by the committee.

With those five boats out of play, including Australia's "Yeah Nah" and Denmark's Monick, "Miss Behavior" took advantage of the situation to take the lead of the fleet and win the first leg. Second place went to the German team Puck, led by Phillip Dohse, and third place went to another German team, Magdalena Gründt's Lilibeth.

The second race of the day started at 13.20 hours and consisted of a 1.1 mile course. The wind was south-westerly, increasing its intensity to an average of 13 knots.

"Miss Behavior", which was already the best in the fourth round of the Puerto Portals Dragon Winter Series held in January, has shown that it is returning to Mallorca in perfect shape and has once again won the second race of the day. Jan Strombeck's Swedish entry "Galant" finished second and third place went to the local crew of "Capa", helmed by Carlos Carbajal.

With its two partial victories, Jan Secher's "Miss Behavior" leads the general classification of this 7th Mediterranean Cup in the Dragon class. The Swedish team has two points, while their compatriots on "Galant" are second with seven points. The provisional podium is completed by the Mallorcan "Capa", with nine points.

Today will be held the second day of the 7th Mediterranean Cup in the Dragon class in Puerto Portals, with two more windward/leeward races scheduled. The weather forecast predicts that the wind will turn north and increase in intensity, a situation that will put the resistance of the boats and crews to the test.
