The event will take place from March 5 to March 9, although the sailors have already traveled to the Basque town to train on the race course.

Some sailors from the Balearic archipelago, such as Gabriela Pérez del Álamo from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, have already moved to the Basque town of Hondarribia and have been training on the race course, getting to know the conditions they will face during the competition.
In this area, there are various variables, such as currents, to which the island sailors are not accustomed. The Spanish Championship will also serve to select the national team that will compete in upcoming international competitions.
