Agents of the National Police and of the Guardia Civil at Menorca, have made the largest seizure of hashish in recent times on the coast of Ciudadella, specifically 59 bundles of hashish wrapped in burlap have appeared, each weighing almost 60 kilograms, making a total of around 3,500 kilograms.

National Police citizen security units were immediately deployed to the site, which, due to the difficult access, guarded the place throughout the afternoon and night.
Early on Saturday morning, the Guardia Civil Command activated the GEAS group specialized in raids of this type, and managed to remove the 53 bundles from the sea and take them to the port of Calan Bosch in Ciudadela.
From there, they were taken into custody to the National Police Station in Ciudadela to begin the analysis and appropriate procedures in the joint investigation by both bodies.
In order to search for more bales throughout the island, aerial means were deployed and located 6 more bales on the beach of Son Bou in Menorca, which were collected and seized by the Guardia Civil.
