Around a hundred windsurfers will participate from April 4 to 6 in the waters of the Mar Menor in the Spanish Windsurfer Championship, a class that is on the rise and has become a benchmark for what is traditional sailboarding.

YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!This time, big names in Spanish windsurfing will not be missing, such as Iván Pastor from Alicante (CN Santa Pola), a four-time Olympian in Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016, as well as a European bronze medalist in the Mistral and RS:X classes. Also present will be the world champion in Raceboard, Curro Manchón from Andalusia (CN Sevilla), while in the female category, Anto Domínguez (CV Darsena) stands out with seven world titles in Raceboard.
The Spanish Windsurfer Championship will feature competitors from various parts of Spain: Andalusia, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Galicia, Madrid, Basque Country, and the Region of Murcia. The three sailors representing the Islands will be Lluis Colome and Enrique Mas from Es Nàutic Sant Antoni, and Enrique Bañon from Club Surf Formentera. In the Open section, which does not compete for the Spanish championship, there are sailors from Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, and Japan.
The fleet will be divided into male and female, and from there into Light and Heavy categories.
Nine races are scheduled, and for the Spanish Championship to be valid, a minimum of two must be held.
The Spanish Windsurfer Championship is included in the extensive regatta calendar of the Sailing Federation of the Region of Murcia, which started in 2025 with the Spanish Championship of ILCA 6 and the Regatta Ayuntamiento de Los Alcázares de Clase A, and has the collaboration of the General Directorate of Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and the Municipality of Los Alcázares.
