ADIBA children enjoy sailing in Club Nàutic S'Arenal

Club Nàutic S'Arenal, faithful to its social commitment, has recently held a new activity in collaboration with the Association of People with Diabetes of the Balearic Islands (ADIBA).

Once again this year, at Club Nàutic S'Arenal, a "baptism at sea" and a day of sailing were held for a dozen children who are members of ADIBA, with a collective boat trip. 

While the children were sailing, their parents and relatives were able to enjoy breakfast in the club's restaurant. Thanks to this initiative, the children were able to enjoy a wonderful day in contact with the sea and sailing, which for some of them was their first time.

Together with the children and their families, Catalina Taberner, president of ADIBA, visited the club, accompanied by Leonor, social worker, and Cristina, psychologist, who had breakfast with the families and representatives of the CNA. Meanwhile, in the support boat were, attentive to the children at all times, Cati Ramis, HUSE educator; Aina Estelrich, ADIBA volunteer, and Xesc Cañellas.

This is not the first year that the CNA has carried out this activity in collaboration with this organization. Last year, this "sea baptism" day was open to all children under the age of 10 who are members of ADIBA, while their families enjoyed a healthy breakfast at the club's facilities, sharing a table with the president of the CNA, José Ramón Picó, along with other representatives of the club.

With this activity, the CNA seeks to promote maritime culture and encourage sport and sailing among young people from this group, making them see that their condition does not prevent them from enjoying an activity as healthy and fascinating as sailing. 

The CNA has shown its gratitude to ADIBA for its trust in leaving its junior members in the care of the club's staff to enjoy a day's sailing.
