In addition to the artist himself, the event was attended by Alcudia's Councilor for Culture, Àngela Amer, accompanied by members of the municipal corporation, the representative of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (APB) in Alcudia, Miquel Espinosa, and the CEO and president of Alcudiamar, Bartomeu Bestard.

Pedro Mesquida is a painter born in Palma who showed an interest in the visual arts from a young age. With academic and professional training in Fine Arts and architecture, he notably collaborated on some projects by the famous artist Ben Jakober, such as "Mazzocchio" and "Leonardo's Horse."

Mesquida expresses his great passion for the sea in his work. In his pieces, the Mallorcan llaut (traditional boat) and light are the protagonists, capturing the essence of the Balearic Mediterranean.

In the words of Bartomeu Bestard, "As lovers of the sea and pioneers of nautical tourism that should align with care and respect for the environment, we must support artistic and cultural initiatives that demonstrate this. The Mediterranean Sea is part of our idiosyncrasy and culture, and what better way to show it than through painting?"

The exhibition will remain open until September 1 at the Botel Alcudiamar.
