The Maritime Museum of Mallorca has organized a new expedition to commemorate this milestone. The voyage will begin on June 25 with the reading of a manifesto and will set sail on July 26 from Cala Figuera.
It will then visit eight ports: Porto Cristo, Portocolom, Cala Ratjada, Alcúdia, Puerto de Sóller, Banyalbufar, Andratx, and Palma. This journey will feature traditional boats, recreating the sailing conditions of the llaüt 'Sant Miquel'.
The Minister of the Sea and Water Cycle, Juan Manuel Lafuente, participated in the presentation of the book 'Diari de l'expedició santanyinera al voltant de Mallorca, 1899' at the main headquarters of the Real Liga Naval Española in Madrid. The Director General of Ports and Maritime Transport, Antoni Mercant, was also present.
