ANEN Nautical Congress sets course for Bilbao

Managing the present, building the future in recreational boating is the slogan chosen by the National Association of Marine (ANEN) for its 11th Nautical Congress to be held in Euskalduna Bilbao on 7 and 8 March 2024.

The reference event of the recreational boating business community will open its doors on the 7th and 8th of March to analyze and discuss what is happening in the sector and what direction it should take to boost its growth in the coming months.

With the institutional support of Basquetour (Basque Tourism Agency) of the Basque Government and the Bilbao City Council - Bilbao Convention Bureau, the Congress maintains its usual scheme of conferences and panel discussions, with an agenda in which new issues burst alongside the core issues of interest to the boating community.

Artificial Intelligence will be discussed, what will be its impact and how it can help to grow the recreational boating. Women and the sea, profiles and female talent, increasingly present in companies and organizations that make up the marine industry and the blue economy and growth will have their space in the Congress. The economic analysis, the profile of the current nautical consumer, sustainable management and governance, major nautical events and Blue Tourism destinations, from the point of view of renowned experts, will fill the stage of the Congress.

The new Maritime Administration, its challenges for the next biennium and the promotion of nautical legislation will have special prominence on the second day of the Congress.

Reference meeting of the nautical community in Spain, the event has gathered in its last editions more than 500 attendees, including businessmen, professionals, entrepreneurs, representatives of the administration and related institutions.
