The Club Marítimo de Mahón will host this Friday the Assembly where they will proceed to vote for the new president whose candidacy is on display on the notice board.

At midday, the still president, Antonio Hernández, wanted to say goodbye to the club's workers with a toast and an aperitif, and in the afternoon the Electoral Commission confirmed and proclaimed the candidacy presented by Basilio Ferrer and his team to take over at the head of the Club. The candidate will be sworn in on Friday at the Assembly to be held at the Club at 19.30 hours.
Hernández, who is putting an end to 8 years of presidency, invited the Club's workers to thank them first hand for the work done during his mandate. The still president did not want to miss the opportunity to recall some of the experiences he has shared with the team, and asked them to do what they do "always with love for the Club".
In the afternoon, as per the Club's Statutes and the approved electoral calendar, the Electoral Commission formed by Miguel Ángel Ardanaz, Miguel Martínez Acera and Pedro Riera Victory opened the candidacy presented by Basilio Ferrer Florit, accompanied by the Club's Manager, Ignacio Marra-Lopez Porta.
Basilio Ferrer heads a candidacy with 83 endorsements from members and fulfilling all the requirements, so it was proclaimed, accepted and displayed on the Club's notice board so that it can be consulted with a view to the final vote that will take place on Friday, from 19.30 hours at the Club and which will name Basilio Ferrer as the new president of the Club Marítimo de Mahón.
