YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The Balearic Islands Port Authority (APB) has incorporated, in a joint project between Esri España and Prodevelop, the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to manage more efficiently the information on its infrastructures and the port operations carried out in the five ports of general interest that it manages. This platform integrates the ICT systems of the port organization, providing a unified and complete solution for the management of assets, operations and infrastructures.
In fact, the APB is at the top of the list in terms of the number of port calls in Spain, with an annual volume of more than 50,000. In addition, it has one of the highest passenger traffic figures, registering more than 2.4 million cruise passengers and six million regular line passengers.
The implementation of these smart map-based systems helps to efficiently and synchronously manage data generated by port operations, concessions, tenders, asset and infrastructure management, fleets, port services and port security, among many others. In addition, the GIS allows real-time monitoring of these data.
Likewise, the integrated graphic management of the APB's assets allows users to exploit the available information in such a way as to optimize and speed up port processes, such as the organization of the public domain, sports boats, ports of call or supply networks.
