Balearic canoeing celebrates the achievements obtained in 2023

The great family of Balearic canoeing has gathered this weekend at the Auditori de Alcudia to recognize the great work done by the paddlers of the islands during 2023.

In this Balearic Canoeing Gala organized by the Balearic Canoeing Federation, which has gathered about 400 people, including canoeists, family members and authorities, has been awarded the achievements of the canoeists during the past season in local, national and international competitions.

This event has demonstrated the great potential of the Balearic paddlers who from an early age already conquer national championships and the great work done by the coaches and clubs of the islands.

The event was attended by some of the most outstanding athletes of the islands, as the world champion in C4 500 Joan Antoni Moreno, who has ahead a tough year of competition to get his place for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024; Maria dels Àngels Moreno who took bronze in C2 500 in the World Junior and U23 this year; or the Olympic medalist and possibly future Spanish flag bearer in the upcoming Paris Games, Marcus Cooper.
