The Spanish Championship of ILCA 7 has had all type of conditions, except for the second race in which there was no wind, in the rest there were weak, strong and medium strength wind between 10-12 knots at the beginning and at the end rising to 17 knots in which there were many several general black flag calls.

Gonzalo Suárez from Alicante reached the last day of the ILCA 7 Nationals with a comfortable lead, although with three races to go he could not lose sight of his pursuers and closed the championship with a 1-2 to confirm his clear victory.

The second overall place was for the sailor from the Club Nàutic S’Arenal, Pep Caazador, winner of the Spanish Championship and Cup in 2022, which started the championship in an irregular way. It went from not very strong to strong, finishing with a 2-9-7 record, which helped it to the runner-up position.

The third position was given to the sailor from the Club Náutico of Ibiza, Carlos Roselló, with a 10-11-13 finals, which made him get advantage on the absolute podium over Ponseti, champion

In the ILCA 7 Olympic Week in Alicante have participated a total of 67 sailors from five different countries: Germany, Belgium, Spain, Great Britain and Poland. And for the Spanish Championship from seven territorial federations: Andalusia, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Catalonia, Valencia, Galicia and Murcia.
