With these typically wintry conditions, the men's and women's K1, Infants 3,000m, juveniles 2,000m, benjamins 1,000m, cadets 5,000m and pre-benjamins 1,000m, had to deal with the cold and rainy day in Alcudia.
The Club Nàutic Sant Antoni (CNSA) returned home with an outstanding medal haul, with a total of eleven medals (three golds, three silvers and five bronzes). With these results, Es Nàutic, which attended the event with 28 paddlers, finished in 4th place in the team classification.
Also noteworthy was the extraordinary performance of the Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx rower, Pep Alemany (Infantil B) in the exciting K1 race in the 3000 meter distance in which, in addition to winning his category, only a handful of tenths separated him from the first of the higher category, that of the more physically trained veterans of Infantil A. The Club de Vela paddlers achieved an excellent podium finish for clubs and third place in the regional medal table.
The medals for the Es Nàutic paddlers went to María Gallego (Cadet A Female), Lara Ribas (Infantil B Female) and Julia Roselló (Alevín A Female). The silver trophies went to Roy Kikozashvili (Male Cadet A), Valentina Rodríguez (Female Cadet A) and Zoe Álvarez (Female Prebenjamín). The bronzes, finally, went to Raúl Prendes (Junior Men), Sigifredo Felipe (Cadet A Men), Iciar Solé (Cadet A Women), Toni Llorens (Cadet B Men) and Candela Madrigal (Cadet B Women).
On Sunday, on the other hand, the Balearic Winter Championships for Senior, Under 23 and Junior were held. In cold and windy conditions, the paddler of the CVPA, Josep Joan Cifre, with great authority and strategy was fighting for the first absolute places paddling with the most senior veterans. He finally won the silver in his category.
