The 2025 Spanish Championship of the 420 class will take place from April 15 to 19 in the waters of Club Nàutic El Balís, with the participation of 76 crews distributed across the male, female, and mixed categories.

Mateu, world champion in 2023, will sail in the Mixed category with Balearic sailor Sofía Cavaco (CN S’Arenal), while Serra will compete with his club teammate Pedro Sotomayor.
Spain has one of the strongest 420 fleets in the world, and in the youth category has achieved great success, such as Mallorcan Ian Walker (CN S’Arenal), European gold and world bronze medalist in the youth category, who starts the season with Catalan Martina Escuer (CN El Balís).
The Spanish 420 Championship will feature crews from Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Galicia, and the Basque Country. Sailors from Club Nàutic S’Arenal, Club Nàutic Cala Gamba, Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa, Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença, and Real Club Náutico de Palma will compete from Wednesday, April 16, to Saturday, April 19, completing a program of 12 races. The competition will be divided into two phases: a Qualifying Series and a Final Series.
