The day began at around 10 a.m., with all the participants seated inside the auditorium, with the screening of the Setmana del Mar trailer, with images summarizing the previous editions, from the very first years. This was followed by a presentation of all the scientific discoveries made by the students during their Setmana del Mar. Among them, the posidonia olive, a live Pina Rudis and another dead Pina Novilis, Balearic Shearwater, a sea turtle, a pod of dolphins, a sunfish, mauve stinger jellyfish and concentrations of a lot of marine litter. These sightings have been shared on the scientific platform Observadores del Mar.
The awards ceremony for the photography competition was also held, with a selection of the most outstanding images being projected. The author of the best image from each of the eleven groups will be able to enjoy a free sailing course at the CNSA Sports Area. One of the most special moments of the closing party took place when the pupils of the Sant Jordi school took to the stage to sing the song 'Cuida el planeta' (Take care of the planet), the lyrics of which the class had composed together. The programme of activities inside the auditorium ended with the projection of the summary video of the Setmana del Mar 2024.
Afterwards, the party continued outside the auditorium, where the popular band Esta me la sé got all the schoolchildren dancing, with their popular verbena spirit and a repertoire of covers of the latest Spanish pop hits, well known to the schoolchildren. The group is made up of Carlos Escandell (vocals and guitar), Eduardo Morcillo (guitar), Juan Díaz (keyboard), Antonio Amores (bass) and Lidia Escandell (drums and percussion). At the same time, the students were also able to enjoy Vanessa's delicious catering. A memorable day, in which everyone had a great time.
