At the Blue Education booth, the first maritime sector stand at this fair shared with major organizations and entities in the sector, the hundreds of visitors—children, youth, educators, and families—from AULA have discovered that the ocean, beyond providing leisure enjoyment, opens up a multitude of professional and career opportunities. All these are compiled in the "Guide to Blue Itineraries," an innovative resource aimed at awakening maritime vocations among the new generations.
Marine biotechnology, marine sciences, shipbuilding and repair, marine energy, logistics and ports, recreational boating, fishing, and maritime transport and safety are some of the many pathways explored in this Guide, resulting from a collaboration agreement between Blue Education and the Spanish Maritime Cluster.
Additionally, over 500 young people, from the hundreds of visitors who passed through the Blue Education space, left their inspirational messages about what the sea represents to them, many considering dedicating their professional future to the maritime sector.
During the presentation of the Guide, Mercedes Pardo, president of Blue Education, spoke about the significant demand for professionals to work in the maritime sector that is not being met due to a lack of applicants, which is why "we want to show young people that the sea is not just a destination, but an opportunity to build a future full of innovation and social contribution," she stated.
