The experienced Damián Borrás, along with Floriane Le Floch, narrowly won by one point over their Club Marítimo de Mahón teammates, Jordi Triay and Marc Sans. The 219 points of the winners surpassed the 218 of the runners-up, as well as the 217 scored by the pairs formed by Juan Magro and David Gómez and Peter Saura and Joaquín Pérez, with the bronze going to Magro and Gómez due to their better records.
The wind showed its two faces last weekend. On Saturday, January 18, where four races were held, there was wind with an intensity between 15 and 20 knots, while on Sunday, January 19, the start had to be delayed due to the lack of wind, and eventually, two more races were held with an intensity ranging from 7 to 9 knots.
This situation forced the participants to offer their best version. Borrás and Le Floch finished at the top with a total of 219 points after achieving 15th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 4th. That fourth position was enough for them to prevail over Triay and Sans whose 218 points came after finishing 4th, 1st, 16th, 2nd, 4th, 1st. The last step of the podium was decided in favor of Juan Magro and David Gómez thanks to the two second places they achieved, in addition to an 8th, 6th, 6th, 5th, totaling 217 points.
The fourth and penultimate dates of the circuit will be held on February 15 and 16 in the waters of the port of Mahón.
