Ángel Fernández Domínguez, president of the Anchored Boat Committee of the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting, together with Pep Santander, president of the CNP, inaugurated both championships on Friday, when the team presentation, the captains' meeting, and a dinner with all participants were held.
On Saturday, the fleet set sail promptly at eight in the morning to fish until noon, resuming activity at two in the afternoon, after a picnic at the club's facilities, and finishing at six in the evening. From nine at night, the closing of the event was celebrated, with the awarding of trophies and medals followed by a dinner at the CNP restaurant, with a hundred guests including participants, companions, collaborators, and personnel from the club, the Balearic Federation, and the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting.
“It is uncommon for a national championship in this fishing modality to be held in the Balearics. It is the first time that the CNP hosts an event of these characteristics and everyone was very happy and grateful for the treatment and organization by the club,” says Carmen Pardo, secretary of the Balearic Federation of Fishing and Casting, who reiterates her “congratulations to CNP for their effort and excellent organizational work.”
