At this point in the year, as the Easter holidays approach, the CNP Sailing School is finalizing preparations for its Easter Campus 2024.

This activity will take place from the 2nd to the 5th of April from 10 am to 2 pm, and is open to children and teenagers aged between 6 and 17 years of all levels, with the only requirements being that they know how to swim and are keen to have a good time. Specifically, three courses will be held at the club's facilities and in the nearby waters: two sailing courses (beginners and advanced) and one canoeing course. Places are limited and registration for this Campus will remain open until the 25th of March.

On the other hand, on the 26th of March at 6 p.m., registrations for the CNP Summer School will open. "These courses are in great demand, and some of them fill up in a matter of hours, so we recommend that those interested should be alert to sign up as soon as registration opens, as if it were a concert by an international band," warns Rafa Ibancos, the club's sports director.

The Summer School courses will start on the 25th of June and will run until the first week of September. Aimed at children and young people aged between 6 and 17 years, they are organized by age and level, with two sections: beginners and advanced, with a wide range of levels in each. They will be carried out in collective boats in the case of beginners or beginners, in which the instructors will teach on board the boat, and Optimist, Laser Pico and Vaurien for advanced students, assisted and monitored by means of inflatable boats.

The courses, in which around a hundred students will participate, will be given in weekly shifts, from 9am to 1pm in the case of canoeing, with complementary "morning stay" services from 8am to 9am and from 1pm to 2pm. As for dinghy sailing, the timetable will be from 10am to 2pm, with a "stay-in" service from 8am to 10am. The club will also offer an optional canteen service from 14:00 to 15:00.

As every year, many of the students who learn their first rudiments in the Summer School will have their first contact with these disciplines, and will continue their training in the Winter School or the CNP Regatta Team. "The club is proud to train future generations of sailors. For those who are not yet familiar with the sea, it is a first contact with this activity, which over the years will give them many satisfactions and hours of enjoyment", celebrates Ibancos.

The CNP's Saturday Sailing School is also open for enrollment for the second quarter of the year. Thus, in April, May and June, sailing classes of different levels will continue to be given every Saturday from 10am to 2pm. "These beginners and advanced courses are open both to students who simply want to enjoy sailing without acquiring competitive commitments and to those interested in acquiring a base that will allow them to join the club's regatta team," says Ibancos.
