Construction completed at Cala Figuera port

The operation, initiated in December 2024, has enhanced the safety, functionality, and appearance of the port with an investment of 266,420 euros.

Ports de les Illes Balears (PortsIB) has concluded the renovation works of the pavement at the port of Cala Figuera, in the municipality of Santanyí. The intervention, which started last December and involved an investment of 266,420 euros (VAT included), has completely renewed an area that was highly degraded due to the passage of time and the intensive use of vehicles and heavy machinery.

The works included the demolition of the existing pavement and the installation of a new reinforced concrete foundation with fibers, designed to withstand heavy loads and ensure greater durability. In addition, the basic service networks have been renewed, such as the electrical supply, lighting, water supply, and sewage collection system.

The action also included the specific repair of the stone wall and the inner dike near the entrance, as well as the placement of new navigation aids and port furniture.

Although the deterioration did not affect the entire esplanade equally, a comprehensive renovation was chosen that responds to both technical and aesthetic criteria. With these improvements, the port has gained in operability and safety, while presenting a renewed image that meets the current needs of users and professionals.
