Copa América’24 is the protagonist in the 61st edition of the International Boat Show in Barcelona

The International Boat Show in Barcelona has closed the doors of another edition of the Copa América 2024 which has been the protagonist. The edition of the nautical fair of this year has served to sponsor this international competition and make it closer to the city.

About 50.000 people have visited the International Boat Show of Barcelona, an event that during five days they have filled the Port Vell of the Catalonian capital with nautical and sea lovers, has also demonstrated its status as a major commercial platform for the sector, having recorded a significant number of commercial transactions and bringing together the major brands.

The Show has counted with more than 240 expositions and 640 boats, 160 of them a floating exhibit, occupying the moorings of the Fusta, Spain and Port Vell, and has been the scenario of a wide programme of conferences, talks and presentations with the Copa América for the next year as a central subject, as well as the promotion of sustainability and the blue economy. In this sense, the presentation stands out in a society of the six teams participating in the legendary sailing regatta which will take place again in one year's time, as well as the collaboration with the immersive exposition America’s Cup Experience.

Furthermore, the Boat Show of Barcelona has served, once more, to show the bet towards the environment sector with the presence of diverse types of boats and electric motors. 

The president of the Boat Show, Luis Conde, has affirmed that “the present edition has again manifested the necessity of the sector to count on with this event to energize the sales and to promote the practice of recreational and sporting sailing”. Furthermore, this year, he added, “we have been the major promoters of the America's Cup sailing competition, with the aim of making the city better known and promoting Barcelona internationally as a nautical capital”.

This way, the show is already prepared for the next edition, which will be influenced by the celebration of the Copa América 2024.
