Nautic Assets Developers Team will contribute annually 68,000 euros in terms of improvement of occupancy and activity rates, which are added to the amount of 58,500 euros and 4% on the turnover, as established in the tender documents.
The APB thus fulfills the commitments made to maintain the dimensions of El Molinar, the typology of its boats, improve the integration of the port with the city, enhance the sports component, and that the moorings maintain their social character.
Regarding the building located in the sports dock of El Molinar, the rehabilitation works have been completed and the keys to the new concessionaire will be handed over shortly. The APB's commitment from the beginning has been to preserve the structure of the historic building, in accordance with the urban conditions of the Special Plan of the port of Palma, the heritage interest of the building derived from its history and its constructive typology. The actual state of the structure—much worse than expected—led to a slowdown in the works and an increase in the budget to 1.2 million euros.
This summer, the APB completed the cleaning of the seabed of the El Molinar dock in which 1,400 cubic meters of rock and sand were extracted, pending removal since the completion of the works, thus recovering the original draft to ensure safe navigation inside the bay.
