A delegation from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni attended the presentation on Wednesday, March 26, of the 37th edition of La Ruta de la Sal, held at the Hotel Ocean Drive España in Barcelona. CNSA took the opportunity to promote one of the emblematic events of 2025, the International Windsurfer Ibiza Meeting (IWIM), which will take place in the bay of Portmany from May 2 to May 4.

The Es Nàutic delegation was composed of Commodore, Javier Planas, who also spoke at the La Ruta de la Sal presentation; the manager, Diana Loro; and the Sports Director, Enrique Mas. The insular director of Tourism, Juan Miguel Costa, and the councilor of tourism of Sant Antoni, Miguel Tur, were also present, showing interest in promoting the IWIM, along with the director of La Ruta de la Sal and CEO of Enregata, Andrés Oliva, and much of the audience.

This year, the IWIM reaches its fourth edition and is included in the international and national circuit of the Windsurfer class. Over the years, the event has grown in participation and representation, attracting competitors from all over Europe. The regatta offers a very important social aspect, as participants arrive with companions, which involves organizing activities where music and gastronomy play a fundamental role. This program, like the sports one, requires a great logistical effort from CNSA. This time the Club has taken care of coordinating the transfer of all the materials from the previous regatta in Murcia, and once the event is finished, moving it again to the next appointment in Blanes.

This time, the competition format includes three days of races. The first day will feature a Long Distance race independent of Saturday and Sunday's regatta, with separate results and awards. This option has been included for the first time, allowing participants to travel more or fewer days, depending on their interests, and have the opportunity to participate in two competitions within the same event.

Regarding La Ruta de la Sal, this challenge will bring around 900 competitors to the bay of Portmany this Easter, at which time the Es Nàutic pontoons will host more than a hundred boats. During the presentation, Javier Planas explained that the Club is already preparing to provide good service to the racers, given that significant logistical coordination is required to accommodate so many participants arriving at the port within a short time frame. Participating in the regatta also provides an ideal framework to promote Sant Antoni and the island of Ibiza as a whole, added the commodore.

The competition takes place in a few weeks, from April 17 to 19, and as usual, it will have a double start from Port Ginesta (Barcelona) and Denia (Alicante), with a single finish in the bay of Portmany, thanks to the collaboration that Es Nàutic has maintained with the organization of the event for 15 years, as also emphasized by Planas.
