This weekend, the 2nd Balearic Sea Kayak Cup was held in Cala Morell, near the Menorcan city of Ciutadella, with the participation of more than two hundred paddlers from across the Balearic Islands.

Club Nàutic Sant Antoni (Es Nàutic) secured a major team victory with 414 points and a total of sixteen medals (six gold, five silver, and five bronze). Real Club Náutico de Palma finished in second place with 410 points, while Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx, with nine golds, four silvers, and one bronze, ranked third with 291 points.
After the children’s race, due to deteriorating weather conditions and to ensure the safety of participants, the organization was forced to modify and significantly shorten the course for the remaining categories.
Regarding Es Nàutic paddlers, the gold medals were won by Sigifredo Felipe-María Gallego (SS2 Mixed Senior), Raúl García-Ilhan Velasco (SS2 Men’s Senior), Noel López (SS1 Men’s Junior), Lara Ribas (SS1 Women’s Infantil A), Julia Roselló (Women’s Infantil B), and Joan Ramón (SS1 Men’s Veteran 55-59).
The silver medals were claimed by Facundo González-Roy Kikozashvili (SS2 Men’s Senior), Alexander Manzanares (SS1 Men’s U23), Toni Llorens (SS1 Men’s Cadet A), Gabriela Mendes (SS1 Women’s Infantil A), and Henk Brinkman-Saúl Calderón (SS2 Men’s Infantil).
The bronze medals were won by Álvaro Rubio (SS1 Men’s Junior), Valentina Rodríguez (SS1 Women’s Junior), Laura Rubio (SS1 Women’s Infantil A), Marc Tur (SS1 Men’s Infantil B), and José Luis González (SS1 Men’s Veteran 50-54).
Meanwhile, paddlers from Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx won gold medals in the following categories: Arnau Alemany and Gabriel Selva (SS2 Men’s Infantil 3000), Josep Cifre (SS1 Men’s U23 8000), Pep Alemany (SS1 Men’s Infantil A 3000), Margalida Alemany (SS1 Women’s Cadet A 8000), Andreu Ferrer (SS1 Men’s Cadet B 8000), Núria Ferrer (SS1 Women’s Cadet B 8000), Javier Matamoro (SS1 Men’s Veteran 45-49 8000), Guillermo Alemany (SS1 Men’s Veteran 60-64 8000), and José Luís Seguí (K1 Traditional Men’s Veteran C 8000).
The silver medals were won by Guiem Porcel (SS1 Men’s Infantil 3000), Alba Fernández (SS1 Women’s Cadet A 8000), Héctor Sielva (SS1 Men’s Cadet B 8000), and Juan Cruz Aguayo (SS1 Men’s Veteran 45-49 8000).
The bronze medal went to Maximilian Flaska (SS1 Men’s Cadet A 8000).
Additionally, paddlers from Club Nàutic Portitxol, Theo Wolff and Omar Calzón, achieved remarkable results, with Theo Wolff finishing as runner-up in SS1 Junior and Omar Calzón placing third in SS1 Senior.
