Es Nàutic extends registration for the 2025 Creative and Charitable Rice Dish Championship

Teams interested in participating can still sign up this Monday, March 17, and Tuesday, March 18, from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm, at the Es Nàutic cafeteria.

The organization of the 3rd Creative and Solidarity Arroz a Banda Championship, which will be held at the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni on Sunday, March 30, has decided to extend the registration deadline for the 'colles', which was initially set to end last Friday, March 14. The decision was made after several teams requested it and considering that there are still some spots available to reach the maximum of 25 participating 'colles'. Thus, those who have not yet registered can do so on Monday and Tuesday.

Teams will pay 20 euros to participate, which will go entirely to the Ibiza IN association, just like the proceeds from the sale of tickets for the popular rice dish for 200 diners that the Es Nàutic restaurant team will prepare on that day. The price is 12 euros per serving, and it will be served around 2:30 pm. Ibiza IN will also sell tickets in advance of the event, although they will also be available for purchase on the day at their stand, where they will also offer homemade desserts and merchandise.

Teams, which will set up on the central pier of the Club, can have a maximum of eight members, regardless of other friends and family members who come to enjoy their preparation. They will start cooking at about 12 pm and must prepare a minimum of one kilo of rice, delivering a plate to the jury at a time that will be previously indicated.

The winners will earn the right to enjoy a paella for eight people at the Es Nàutic restaurant, on a date of their choice within the year 2025 (drinks not included). Additionally, the second-place finishers will also receive a paella for four people under the same conditions, and the third place will receive a box of wine. A prize will also be awarded to the 'colla' with the best atmosphere and decoration, which will consist of a course for four people in canoeing, sailing, or windsurfing, as part of the training calendar organized by the Sports Area of the CNSA.

After the lunch, the Ibiza IN raffles and the award ceremony, also on the central pier, there will be a concert by the Eribertho Cruz Band. The Cuban Eribertho Cruz is one of the most prestigious Caribbean music artists in Ibiza and has performed at the best live music venues on the island, such as the former Teatro Pereyra, and on multiple stages around the world. Some of the world's top DJs have featured sessions with his percussion and voice as the main ingredient; among them, Roger Sánchez.
