The paddlers had to face a tough and very demanding competition, with a strong crosswind that made paddling and navigation difficult. The organizers prepared a course of 8 kilometers, starting and finishing in the bay of Ciutadella, except for the children, who faced a circuit of three kilometers.
Es Nàutic, who came with 24 athletes after the last minute sick leave of Noel Lopez and Toni Llorens, led the medal count. It is worth mentioning the undisputed victory in SS2 Junior of Raúl Prendes and Ilhan Velasco, who led the race from start to finish, arriving alone at the finish line. Also occupied the highest place on the podium Hugo Hawkins and Sigifredo Felipe (SS2 Cadet Men), Facundo González (SS1 Cadet Men A), Valentina Rodríguez (SS1 Cadet Women A) and Lara Ribas (SS1 Junior Women B). The silver medals went to José Jiménez and Joel Ribas (SS2 Cadet Men), Álvaro Rubio (SS1 Junior Men), Roy Kikozashvili (SS1 Cadet A Men), María Gallego (SS1 Cadet A Women) and Laura Rubio (SS1 Infantil B Women). The two bronze medals were won by Iciar Solé (SS1 Female Cadet A) and Odalis Posado (SS1 Female Infantil B).
In parallel, also took place the Balearic Sea Kayak Masters Cup, in which Es Nàutic also won a bronze medal, achieved by José Luis González (SS1 Men Veteran 50-55).
