This Thursday, February 20, the sports events calendar that the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni (CNSA) will organize throughout 2025 was presented, totaling thirty events.

The event featured CNSA commodore, Javier Planas, and sports director, Enrique Mas, who highlighted new editions of major events such as the International Windsurfer Ibiza Meeting, set for May, and the Ibiza Wingfoil Open, in October, along with the arrival of a new edition of the Ruta de la Sal, next Easter.

The CNSA sports events are divided into four blocks: Light Sailing (Optimist, Ilca, Windsurf, and Wingfoil), Canoeing (Track and Sea Kayak), Classic Sailing, and Cruising, incorporating all high-sea regattas with finish in the bay of Portmany and hosted at the club's facilities.

In Light Sailing, the focus is already on the International Windsurfer Ibiza Meeting (IWIM 2025), the first globally broadcast event of the year. The event is in its fourth edition and requires greater organizational effort than other regattas, due to significant logistical work involving material transport and participant accommodation from all over Europe and in some cases other continents. The event will be held from May 2 to 4, and will include two trophies in one. On the first day, an Open or Long Distance test, independent of the weekend races, will be held, which are course races. This allows athletes arriving on the island a few days earlier to participate in both challenges or only register for Saturday and Sunday.

This initiative aims to maintain a high participation rate and has already been well received by the class and participants. The main appeal of this event, which combines tourism and sport, remains the chance to travel to Ibiza and enjoy the start of the season, often with family members. At this event, music, gastronomy, and the competition's environment set it apart from other tests in the international circuit. This light sailing block also highlights the Ibiza Wingfoil Open (IWO 2025), which will act as the Spanish Cup of Wingfoil Racing, and the Federation Cup of Ilca 4, both in October. Other regattas include island Optimist trials and the Sant Bartomeu Nàutic, in August.

Within the Canoeing block, a regional Sea Kayak cup in November stands out. Other events include the Balearic Cup for Young Promises, school canoeing trials, and the Canoe Day. In the Classic Sailing section, four meetings will be held, with Es Nàutic aiming to increase participation from previous years by inviting boats from other clubs and corners of the island. Finally, in the Cruising block, the CNSA social league is integrated, with one trial per month that includes a visit to Formentera, as well as the Pitiusas Nautical Days and four high-sea trials starting from the peninsula and finishing at the club, among which is the Ruta de la Sal, in April.

It is noteworthy that the Consell Insular d’Eivissa, through FECOEV and the IBIZA brand, is the main sponsor of the internationally tourist-oriented events organized, such as the IWIM and the IWO.
