Four reports issued against a company for disembarking people without authorisation in s'Espalmador

The servicio de Agentes de Medio Ambiente (AMA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and the Environment have issued a total of four reports against a company for disembarking people without authorisation on the islet of s'Espalmador, in Formentera, over the past weekend. Specifically, the AMA filed three complaints on Friday and one on Saturday.

It should be recalled that, currently, there is only one company that can carry out this activity, as it is the only one that has the favorable report from the Consell de Formentera and the Natural Park of Ses Salines of Ibiza and Formentera and has the necessary authorisation from the Directorate of Coasts and Coastline, under the Ministry of the Sea and the Water Cycle.

The General Directorate for the Natural Environment recalls that, according to the applicable environmental regulations, minor violations can lead to a financial penalty of up to 6,000 euros.

On the other hand, also at s’Espalmador, the AMA issued this past weekend a report ​​against a private individual who was riding a jet ski in the Racó de s'Alga bathing area. In addition, another one has been issued for the installation of loudspeakers on the beach of sa Torreta. These types of activities on the islet of s'Espalmador require authorisation from the Govern, as it is an area that includes a set of terrestrial and marine habitats with ecological, scenic, historical and cultural values of the highest order.
