This weekend the Spanish Championship of Young Promises for Children 3,000 Metres was held in Seville, with more than 350 paddlers representing 94 clubs from all over Spain, including canoeists from Club Nàutic Sant Antoni, Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx, Reial Club Nàutic Port de Pollença, Real Club Náutico de Palma, Club de Mar, Reial Club Nàutic Portopetro, Club Náutico Santa Eulalia and Club Nàutic Ciutadella.

The paddlers competed in a spectacular 3,000-meter circuit (a 2,000-meter lap and a 1,000-meter lap) on the Guadalquivir River as it passes through the Andalusian capital. On Saturday afternoon, the K-1 Men's Infantil B qualifying heats were held, with a total of 135 participants, with Liam López and Nicolás Costa from Es Nàutic, qualifying for Sunday's final in which the best 80 of the qualifying heats would compete. In the Sunday final, Liam finished 55th and Nico 59th, a good national debut for the young representatives of the CNSA.

The great joy for Es Nàutic came in the K-1 Women's Infantil B, in which the four representatives of the CNSA, Laura Rubio, Odalis Posado, Gabriela Mendes and Lara Ribas, managed to get into the top 25 of the 70 participants who took the start. An outstanding performance by Lara Ribas, who, despite not making a great start, managed to link up with the leading group and flirt with the podium positions throughout the race, finishing in a magnificent 4th place, a position never before achieved by an Ibizan in a Spanish long-distance or long-distance Championship.

Her friends and teammates Laura Rubio, Odalis Posado and Gabriela Mendes, who crossed the finish line in 14th, 16th and 25th position, respectively, did not disappoint at all. This promising quartet promises great things to come for the CNSA in the next few years. In the club classification, the CNSA was 19th out of a total of 94 clubs.

On behalf of the Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx the young paddlers Andreu Ferrer, Héctor Sielva, Núria Ferrer, Guiem Porcel, Eric Dosil and Pep Alemany, who finished in a creditable sixth position in K1 3000m.
