During this session, the transition in the presidency of Balearic Marine Cluster was also announced, with leadership previously held by Toni Salom. The Assembly formally appointed Guillermo García, Marketing Director at Evolution Yacht Agents, as the new president of the Cluster. With extensive experience in the sector and a focus on international expansion and innovation, García takes on the challenge of continuing the Cluster’s growth and strengthening its impact on the marine industry.

"It is an honor to take on the presidency of Balearic Marine Cluster and continue the great work done by Toni Salom. My commitment is to keep driving the development of the nautical sector, strengthen cooperation between companies, and consolidate our position as a benchmark in the marine industry," García stated in his speech following his appointment.

After six years at the helm of the organization, Toni Salom stepped down, leaving behind a legacy of growth and consolidation of the nautical sector in the Balearic Islands. His leadership has been instrumental in reinforcing the Cluster’s position in the industry, promoting innovation, internationalization, and collaboration among companies.

Salom expressed his gratitude to members and collaborators for their support over the years, highlighting the Cluster’s growth and the collective effort that has helped establish its role in the industry. He also emphasized the Cluster’s value as a reference point for small businesses, providing guidance and support in an increasingly competitive environment.

In addition to the change in presidency, the General Assembly also served to bid farewell and thank outgoing members of the Board of Directors, whose effort and dedication have been key in establishing the Cluster as a strategic player in the Balearic marine sector.

The meeting also led to the renewal of the Board of Directors, forming a diverse team with representatives from key companies in the industry. The new Board is composed of Guillermo García (Evolution Yacht Agents) as president and Maena Salom (Nautipaints Group) as vice president. Mónica del Toro (Atlante Marine Solutions) serves as secretary, Javier Calomarde (Shore Marine) as treasurer, while board members include Mar Vera (Alcudiamar), Carlos Morales (Astilleros de Mallorca), Olimpia Corral (Baltic Yachts), Peter Brown (GYG Group), Isabel Martínez (Grupo IPM), Nacho Díaz (Hill Robinson), and Nani Mas (OCIBAR).

This team will work in a coordinated manner to drive new growth strategies, strengthen collaboration between companies, and continue positioning the Balearic Islands as an international leader in the marine sector.

During the Assembly, key indicators from 2024 were also presented, including the growth of the member network, financial performance, and the impact of services and projects developed throughout the year. Additionally, the 2025 Action Plan was outlined, setting the Cluster’s roadmap for the coming months.

The priorities for this year include:

• Management and expansion of services for members
• Strategy to promote the Balearic Islands as a nautical destination
• Budget and financial planning
• Participation in international fairs and events
• New projects and key initiatives for innovation and sustainability
