A total of 20 sailors gathered this weekend at the waters of the Platja d’en Bossa to compete in the Trofeo Illes Balears in the double class Snipe, competition organized by the Club Náutico Ibiza in collaboration with the Federación Balear de Vela.

On Sunday, the low intensity of the wind from the South East component of 4-5 knots of intensity, only admitted one more race, which after the two days of racing added up to the four races that validated the Illes Balears Trophy.
After the four races completed and minus the bad classification, the sailors of the Club Náutico de Ibiza, Jaume Gomila and Marc tur onboard of the Snipe “Bon temps” were winners of the Trofeo Illes Balears, in which they scored 3 points after being first in three of the four races completed.
In second place finished the boat "Farinetes" of Antonio Cardona and Rafael Ordoñez from Club Náutico Ibiza and third place went to the crew of the Real Club Náutico de Palma composed of Fernando Velarde and Joan Freixas aboard the Snipe "Tuchos", who tied on 7 points with the runners-up.
After the regatta held on Sunday they organized a lunch for all the participants which concluded with the prize-giving ceremony presided over by Juan Marí, president of the organizing entity of the event, which in 2024 will be in charge of hosting an autonomous regatta again, this time organizing the Balearic Championship of the class, in the month of April.
