Jordi Triay and Elise Prins Win the Mahón – Sa Mesquida – Mahón Regatta

The sailors from the Mahón Maritime Club triumphed in the race held on Sunday as part of the local festivities. The winners took the first race, and Antonio Pomar and Eric Pomar won the second.

The Snipe class gathered last Sunday for the Sa Mesquida Festivities Regatta, a sporting event with two races held in honor of the local festivities of the town of Mahón. Jordi Triay and Elise Prins emerged victorious. The event saw active participation from the Sa Mesquida neighborhood association, who were fully supportive of the race. Alex Tinoco and Manu finished second, while Antonio Pomar and Eric Pomar completed the podium.

On Sunday, in front of the Mahón Maritime Club, the first race started with the finish line set at Sa Mesquida. Jordi Triay and Elise Prins led the pack, followed by Tinoco and Manu in second place, while Manel Beltrán came in third.

After a break, the second race took place, where the best performers were Antonio and Eric Pomar, a father-son duo, who reached the Mahón port first, followed by Tinoco and Manu, and then Triay and Prins. The latter duo emerged as the overall winners with 4 points, tied with Tinoco and Manu but with a better result. The Pomar team completed the podium.
