José Ramón Crespí makes a splash at Passion for the Sea

For 30 years, the professionals of Marine Rescue have been watching over our waters, ensuring the safety of sailors. Every year thousands of people are helped by the Marine Rescue teams, who intensify their work during the summer months.

Today we are going to get to know the person responsible for the Coordination Center of Marine Rescue in the Balearic Islands, José Ramón Crespí, who after 12 years working as a controller for the entity, the last 8 in the Balearic Islands center, decided to take a step forward and succeed Miguel Félix Chicón, who decided to retire last year. 

With a degree in Nautical and Maritime Transport, José Ramón Crespí is passionate about the sea and nautical sports, in fact, he lives very close to the sea and would love to sail around the world on board a sailboat. He also admits that he is better at riding the waves, as he windsurfs whenever he can, than on the dance floor, something he says he is terrible at.
