STAY UP TO DATE OF WHAT WE DO AND RECEIVE OUR NEWSLETTEROver two thrilling and closely contested days, the crews raced for the club’s oldest trophy, completing windward/leeward technical courses in a race area stretching between La Mola and Cap Falcons.
Light rain, haze, leaden skies, and gentle breezes over a rolling swell dominated the weekend’s conditions. On Saturday, April 12, a light west-northwest breeze arrived just minutes before the time limit, allowing one race to take place, followed by a grand paella served at the Cantina by the club. On Sunday, April 13, weather conditions remained similar, with light south-southeast winds and residual swell.
Ultimately, after completing both races—with a first and a second place on corrected time—“Just the Job” by Scott Beattie in ORC 1/4 and “Just4Fun” by Silvia Cabrera, with a second and a first in ORC 5, emerged as the winners of the prestigious trophy and now lead the provisional overall standings of the Two-Season League. The closely contested podium was rounded out by “Calm Days” by Luis Portella and “La Escandalosa” by Jaime Gonzalo Manso in the smaller division, and “Jolie Voile” by Toni Enseñat and “Settebello” by Hans Peter Woelfert in the larger division.
