The 68 sailors participating in the IWO had even traveled on the tourist ferry to the race field planned for today, in front of Caló des Moro, and had even gone into the water, but the conditions ultimately were not ideal and the races were suspended. Nonetheless, the day has been productive for setting up and adjusting all the logistics necessary for the development of this Spanish Championship. It is worth remembering that in the IWO, competitors embark to move to the best place to conduct the races, depending on the best wind conditions in the different competition areas.
The participants come from the Canary Islands, Andalusia, Valencian Community, Castilla la Mancha, and the Balearic Islands, the latter contributing the most participants, including seven island racers: Marcos Colomar, Alan Benlloch, Paco Fernández, Javier Morillo, Daniel Alarcón, Enrique Mas, and María Costa.
