On July 11 and 12, two initiation days to competition took place in Andratx waters, where numerous young athletes demonstrated the potential talent of those who might become future racers on the club’s sailing team. For many, it was a fun opportunity to practice the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classrooms and during lively summer outings to the sea.

Nearly 40 sailors participated in this trophy, which honors sailing, culture, and tradition in this area. Celebrating the patron saint of sailors, fishermen, and merchant mariners, the young sailors competed aboard Optimist, ILCA 4, 420, and the veteran classes Cadetes and Galeones.

The winners of this Virgen del Carmen Trophy organized by the Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx were Oliver Iglesias in the Optimist class, Martí Albertí in Optimist D, Joan Jaume Pujol and Elías Miquel in Cadete, Aarón Ortíz in ILCA 4, and finally, the crew formed by Adel Bosch and Noa Gumbia in the 420 class.
