Mallorca becomes the first direct rental point for kayaks and paddleboards by Decathlon

Decathlon has launched an exclusive service for renting sports equipment by the day, with direct delivery to the beach in Mallorca. This offer includes various packages for kayaking and paddleboarding, available until August 31.

With this initiative, Decathlon becomes the first retailer to offer such a service. In line with their "Move People Through the Wonders of Sport" initiative, the company aims to strengthen its commitment to accessibility and proximity by being present where sports are practiced.

Additionally, this promotes their circular models, providing environmentally friendly alternatives to ownership. Until August 31, visitors to the beaches of Can Pastilla, Ciudad Jardín, Palmanova, and Santa Ponsa can enjoy a different beach day and dive into kayaking or paddleboarding adventures thanks to Decathlon's rental service.

To use this daily rental service, users simply need to visit the brand’s rental website, choose from the available packages that suit the sport they want to practice, and select the day, time, and delivery location.

The company’s team of experts will handle the delivery and collection of the equipment at the agreed location, as well as repair, verification, cleaning, safety, and maintenance of the rental items.

Additionally, Decathlon has launched its first "pop-up" store at the Momentum Plaza Leisure Center, located in the commercial area of the Hotel Innside by Meliá Calviá Beach. This space offers another point where customers can rent kayak and paddleboard equipment by the day or by the hour, with prices starting from 15 euros per hour or 30 euros per day.

The kayak package includes the rental service along with paddles, an inflator, and a life jacket. The paddleboard package includes the rental service, stand-up paddles, an inflator, a free flotation vest option, and the possibility of adding an electric motor for an additional 25 euros per day.
