The pair formed by Manu Hens (RYCB) and Alexandre Tinoco (Club Marítimo de Mahón) has been proclaimed winners in this emblematic Snipe class regatta, after completing the third and last day on December 8th with two races.
The expected weather conditions were largely met, with winds reaching 24 knots and higher gusts, coming from the 310º-330º axis. Despite the intensity of the wind, two races were completed, thus closing the event with a total of three of the eight scheduled races.
In this last day, the locals Francisco and Marina Sánchez Ferrer (RCR Santiago de la Ribera) achieved the best partials, with a 2-1, but it was not enough to clinch the title. Their result was compromised by a 22 in the only race completed yesterday, which left them in second position with a total of 25 points. The pair formed by the Belgian Hens and the Minorcan Tinoco, on the other hand, met expectations, adding a 5-4 on this day and a 9th place in Saturday's race, finishing with 18 points.
The bronze went to another Murcian crew, formed by Manuel Madrid and José Juan Valverde (CN Los Nietos), who finished with a total of 26 points. In today's first race, they did not manage to surpass 20th place, but they improved their performance in the second, where they took third place, matching their result from Saturday.
In the women's category, the title went to the Belgian crew of Charlotte Martot and Katia Royer.
