Maó gives 20.000 euros to the Fisherman’s guild for the construction for a protective cover

The Town Hall of Maó has formalized the agreement with the collaboration of the Government of Maó of a grant of 20.000 euros for the project of a construction of a protection cover.

The mayor Héctor Pons has signed and agreement together with the senior pattern of the Fisherman’s guild, Martín Mata.

The plot in question is owned by the Balearic Islands Port Authority and is located next to the fish market. The aim of the project is to provide the fishermen's guild with an area for the repair of nets and fishing gear, which will improve the fishermen's working conditions and free up the space they occupy next to the mooring area.
