This annual event, which has become a meeting point for experts and sea lovers, addressed crucial themes such as the conservation of Posidonia, environmental education, and the conservation of the oceans in this edition.

"In this edition, which is the sixth, we talk about effective ocean protection, and we ask all institutions, companies, administrations, as well as the citizens of the islands, to join this initiative. Moreover, we will highlight some projects for the regeneration of our waters and our coastline," said Antonio Martínez Beneyto, coordinator of the Marine Forum.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the declaration of Posidonia as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the forum paid special attention to this marine plant that is fundamental for the health of the Mediterranean. Renowned experts such as marine biologist Manu San Félix, double Olympic champion Theresa Zabell, and the coordinator of the Global Network of MPA Manager Networks from The Ocean Foundation, Puri Canals, shared their knowledge and experiences, offering a complete view of the challenges and opportunities facing the sea.

Marina Ibiza, an active member of the maritime community and committed to adopting environmental measures since the beginning of its journey, has supported this initiative with the aim of promoting joint actions to protect the Mediterranean.

"For us, as every year, being present at the Marine Forum is the best way to support the conservation of our paradise and to promote awareness among the nautical sector and institutions. The sea that surrounds us, especially in our islands, is vital for our economic sector and must be protected by allocating the necessary resources and establishing the protection measures needed," says Dani Marí, Manager of Marina Ibiza.

In addition to participating in the sessions, the marina facilitated a space for the 100% electric sailboat Galaxie, from the True World organization, for a guided tour of a Posidonia meadow and for an underwater photography workshop conducted by MARE.

Throughout its history, the Marine Forum has been expanding topics, offering a holistic picture of the situation in the Mediterranean. "The companies and entities that make up the Forum's Promoting Team, since its creation, set a line of work aimed at bringing expert voices to this event to analyze the situation of our sea and propose ideas that would benefit it. Our audience is global and inclusive because we understand that the entire Balearic society should be aware of what is happening with our sea, which is a source of life and progress for these islands," insists Martínez Beneyto.
