This strategic agreement, which positions the center as a national and international reference, aims to ensure the success of Valencian athletes at the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympics and includes selecting the top 18 regional sailors to form part of the Olympic team for these Olympics. Seven of them are already part of the Spanish Olympic sailing team of the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, and with this valuable contribution, the FCVC is now the third regional federation contributing the most athletes. The intention is to continue expanding this number of Olympic participants throughout this year, thanks to the new support from Marina Port Valencia.

The presentation event was attended by prominent personalities from the world of sports and marina representatives, such as Patrick Reynes, CEO of Marina Port Valencia, who highlighted the importance of this alliance: "Creating a great alliance with this Federation is the first step to embark on a long journey together. We believe that the future is you, the athletes, so we are at your disposal to grow together and be part of your achievements for the next 30 years."

For his part, Luís Cervera, Director General of Sports of the Generalitat Valenciana, underscored the institution's commitment to Valencian sport and congratulated the athletes for their dedication. Carlos Torrado, president of the FVCV, thanked the institutions for their support and highlighted the importance of this initiative for the development of sailing in the Valencian Community.

The Petxina Sailing Technification Center, officially classified as a "State Technification Sports Program" by the Higher Council of Sports, will bring together the best Valencian sailors, providing them with the resources and technical team necessary to achieve sporting excellence. Lucía Reyes will continue as the coordinator of Technification and High Performance and Héctor Domínguez as the coach, leading a multidisciplinary team with the goal of training future Olympians from the Valencian Community.

With this alliance, the Petxina Sailing Technification Center is established as a benchmark in the training of champions, ensuring that this center will be one of the most comprehensive at both the national and international levels.
