Marina Port Valencia steps up efforts to help those affected by the DANA

After the catastrophe suffered by the Valencian Community due to the extreme rainfall in recent days, Marina Port Valencia decided to commit to helping those affected and set out with their vans carrying submersible pumps to collaborate with all the citizens who spontaneously and voluntarily came en masse to contribute.

Many companies and individuals have joined this mission to meet the needs of the most vulnerable people at this moment, and after the first day of removing mud and belongings that blocked the passage to survivors, other nautical facilities such as Varadero Valencia, Valencia Mar, Calpe Yacht Club, Jávea Yacht Club, Benidorm Yacht Club, and Vila joined forces to make a great team and help.

In addition to this initiative, Marina Port Valencia has communicated to its clients, collaborators, and friends its interest in collecting clothes, food, and basic necessity products in its offices and has carried out a collaboration campaign from the first day that is already bearing fruit. This notice is for anyone who wishes to collaborate by bringing blankets, warm clothing, footwear, non-perishable and packaged food, as there are still homes without electricity or the possibility of cooking, as well as water, milk, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. Anyone interested in contributing any item or product of this type can deposit it from Monday to Friday at the Marina Norte offices, where the marina will deliver everything collected weekly to the hundreds affected by the DANA.

This initiative was also joined by all the facilities of the same group in Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca, and Tarragona.

In the words of Santiago Donat, director of Marina Port Valencia: "It breaks your heart when you see a catastrophe of this type and you can't do anything other than devote yourself to helping those who have survived. We want to show our solidarity and our support in these delicate moments and it doesn't matter if it's to clean a road, pump water from a garage or bring water and food to those who have gone days without eating or drinking. Any help is little."
