Marina Port Valencia strengthens sea-city ties with sports activities

This weekend, April 5 and 6, Marina Port Valencia hosted three sporting events: the 15K Valencia Open to the Sea, the Valencian King of Corcheo Tournament, and the 2025 Valencia Kayak Fishing Challenge. These events brought together thousands of participants and spectators by the sea.

These initiatives are perfect for strengthening the connection between the port and the city, one of the goals that Marina Port Valencia works towards every day: to make the Valencian coast an active, accessible, and dynamic place, where both nautical activities and sports and cultural events that involve citizens and visitors to the city of Valencia can take place.

The 15K Valencia Open to the Sea, already established in the Valencian sports calendar, gathered more than 8,000 runners who enjoyed a unique course along the coast, starting from the Paseo Marítimo. The race, with its two distances (15K and 7.5K), stood out for its high participation, with attendees coming from all corners of Spain.

The Valencian King of Corcheo Tournament, held at Marina Sur, brought together the 40 best fishermen from the Valencian Community. It is the most important competition in the corcheo-mar style, a discipline that is rapidly growing throughout the country and aims to continue expanding in the coming years.

Another event held at Marina Sur was the 2025 Valencia Kayak Fishing Challenge, which brought together numerous fans of this style to enjoy a day of kayak fishing in the waters of Marina Port Valencia.
