The CNSA Nautical Academy is currently offering a new Basic Maritime Safety Training course. Students are attending both the Sports Area of the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni and the fire-fighting exercise facilities at Apagafoc, located in the Ca na Palava industrial estate, where they perform all the necessary practical exercises for obtaining the certificate, such as survival at sea, first aid, and firefighting, in addition to other more theoretical subjects.
DID YOU LIKE THIS CONTENT? WELL... YOU HAVE ALL OF OUR FULL PROGRAMS HERE!The CNSA offers two such training sessions per year, one in March and another in November. Although with some limitations, with this qualification, plus the PER, Yachtmaster or Captain's license, one can operate a boat for profit. For this reason, this training offer receives a high influx of students in its calls. To conduct the practical exercises, the CNSA has the presence of Joan Tur, second pilot of the Merchant Navy; Daniel Ausín, university graduate in Nursing; and Miguel A. Jamarillo, firefighter and fire technician.
The course is face-to-face and lasts 70 hours, of which 45 hours are theoretical content and 25 hours are practical content. Classes are distributed from 8 AM to 3 PM, Monday to Sunday, over the two weeks of the course. Professional Maritime Training is one of the major commitments recently made by the CNSA Nautical Academy, with the goal of establishing on the island a training center from which new professionals linked to maritime trades can emerge.
