Of the 18 boats that set sail from Sa Ràpita on Friday afternoon, with two sailors as crew on board each boat, not all completed the regatta, due to the weather conditions. "The race has been marked by the low wind intensity, with between 5 and 10 knots throughout the course. After a very close start, almost the entire fleet arrived together until Ciutadella, a mark that the participants passed between two and nine o'clock in the morning. Afterwards, there was some lulls in the Canal de Menorca, as usual. This is where some boats withdrew from the competition. The rest set course for Cabrera, which they skirted slowly, with an average speed of 4 knots. The fleet was very close together throughout the entire course, with the exception of the first three boats," says Carlos Estellers, head of the CNR Cruising team.

The winner of the 150 Miles Trophy was Matías Gil's "Blue Flag", followed by Juan Lallemand's "Guaguanco IV" (CN Altea) and, closing the podium, Félix Comas' "Modul" (CV Santa Ponça). After the regatta, on Sunday afternoon, the corresponding trophy ceremony was held.

The high participation of this edition shows that this emblematic and traditional race, which was held for the first time in 1995, generates a lot of expectation and is on its way to becoming a reference regatta in the Balearic and national nautical calendar of the Cruiser class in the A2 modality.

In its beginnings, this veteran regatta, created in 1995 by several amateurs linked to the club, consisted of a single-handed course from the club to the Isla del Aire in Menorca and back. Now, after its reactivation in 2023 after 6 years without taking place, it offers a round trip to Ciutadella, to sail from there to the island of Cabrera and return to the club.

In addition, in order to encourage the participation of boats from other clubs, the participating boats have free mooring rights at the club for 7 days, to choose between the days before or after the event. "It is a very special regatta, different from the rest, and is a perfect plan for cruising sailors who want to experience a nautical adventure and test their skills. The course is magnificent and has everything you need to enjoy sailing over several days", says Miki Bover, sports director of the CNR.
