Nearly 280 dinghy sailors will participate on February 22 and 23 in a new edition of the Pro-Rigging Trophy. The event, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, will bring together the Optimist, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, Snipe, and OK Dinghy classes.

All categories will compete in a fleet racing format, with Optimist, featuring 162 registered sailors, once again being the most numerous class and divided into two groups.
The newest sailors will be placed in the so-called Group D, which will have its own separate ranking. This beginner category is supported by Gaceta Náutica, which will award its "Timoncito" prizes to the top three finishers.
On Friday, February 21, the day before the competition begins, time will be allocated for registration confirmation and document collection. The race committee has planned a maximum of six races, with at least two needing to be completed for the event to be considered valid. The first starts will take place on Saturday, February 22, and Sunday, February 23, starting from 11:00 AM, weather permitting.
The regatta has been sponsored by Pro-Rigging for several years, a Mallorca-based company specializing in the repair and maintenance of rigging and sailboat fittings. With this sponsorship, Pro-Rigging supports the discovery and development of young sailing talent in the Balearic Islands.
