Nacho Baltasar wins the IQFoil of the Spanish Cup

The sailor of the Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, Nacho Baltasar has been claimed champion of the IQFoil Spanish Cup, competed this weekend at the river of Vigo.

After two long days without wind, the IQFoil Spanish Cup contested in the waters of the river of Vigo, the Versión Rías Baixas II of the Abanca Week, has concluded with a sour taste. The Cup has decided about the classification of the first day of the championship, where it was possible to contest in two score sheets. 

This way, with a fourth and first position, the sailor of the Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, Nacho Baltasar, that will represent Spain in the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024, has won the IQFoil Spanish Cup. In the podium he is accompanied by the “iqfoiler” Jorge Aranzueque, in second place, who, with a second and a third, tied on points with Baltasar. And Fernando Lamadrid took bronze.

In the feminine category, the Catalan Julia Gómez was crowned the winner after taking the lead on the first day of the competition, ahead of Pilar Lamadrid, who had no chance of a rematch as no more races were held.
