The councilor thanked Náutica Morey and all the exhibitors for ‘the support they have given to the Palma International Boat Show over the years, which has made it possible for the show to become a worldwide benchmark’. The councilor recalled that ‘one of the pillars of the success of the PIBS is public-private collaboration, which has allowed us to grow and go from being a local fair to an international one’.
Gori Morey recalled the first editions of the boat show, ‘when it was just a local event and exhibitors helped each other in the assembly as a family. Little by little it has internationalized to become what it is today, one of the best shows in the Mediterranean’.
During the award ceremony, and on the occasion of the 40th anniversary, the role of Alcudiamar and the Alcúdia Town Hall was also acknowledged, as they hosted the first edition of the Floating Fair in 1983, which was the precursor to the Palma International Boat Show.
