With this, nearly 100 students from the Balearic Islands are expected to go through the classrooms of the S’Algar Training Center and various companies in the island's nautical sector, where they will learn a specialty in one of the sectors classified as strategic in the Balearic Islands.
Specifically, Balearic Marine Cluster in collaboration with the S’Algar Training Center, has launched the following Dual Training projects:
Pedro Suasi, manager of Balearic Marine Cluster, stated, "at BMC we are aware that one of the main challenges faced by companies in the nautical sector is the shortage of qualified personnel. Therefore, one of our goals as a Cluster is to address this issue while we also work to bring closer and spread the job opportunities the sector offers to the youth of our islands."
"Balearic Marine Cluster works in collaboration with various institutions, organizations, and companies to cover all the sectors of nautical science and thanks to the training courses we promote, the workers arrive at the companies better prepared," he added.
Balearic Marine Cluster aims to continue expanding this training proposal in order to cover all nautical areas of the Vehicle Transport and Maintenance family from the Catalog.
In the event that a company wants to participate in the Dual Training program of Balearic Marine Cluster, it will receive a subsidy covering 100% of the labor costs derived from the minimum interprofessional wage (SMI) and proportionally to the working hours of the students/workers and up to a 25% increase if the company's Collective Agreement is higher, for level 2 certificates, and up to a 10% increase for level 1 certificates.
Additionally, the subsidy would cover 100% of the costs derived from social security and a remuneration of 60 € per month per student hired will be provided for tutoring during the twelve months of the duration of the alternate training contract.
Furthermore, the commitment of Balearic Marine Cluster to the students is that upon the completion of the dual contract, they may remain employed at the same company or another company in the sector.
