Nearly a hundred sailors participate in the Copa Federación - Trofeo Gabinet Lladó

The Trofeo Gabinet Lladó is a long-standing event at the club that has been held for more than two decades. This time, the race has the added incentive of being the Copa Federación, which constitutes the first race of the qualifying regatta circuit for the 2025 Spanish Optimist Championship, alongside the Balearic Championship and the School Finals.

Almost a hundred sailors from different clubs in the Balearic Islands will gather this weekend at Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita (CNR) to participate in the Copa Federación - Trofeo Gabinet Lladó, an Optimist class regatta for the sub11, sub13, and sub16 categories, male and female, which starts today, November 22, and will continue until Sunday, November 24, with a total of 9 races scheduled.

"The Trofeo Gabinet Lladó is our premier regatta for the Optimist class, and it is the last major sporting event on the club's light sailing calendar for 2024. We have been sponsored by Gabinet Lladó for this event for many years, and the club is very grateful to this sponsoring entity," says Miki Bover, sports director of the CNR.

Among the nearly hundred participants, from the CNR are Marc Rigo in the sub16 category and Martí Mas and Carme Adrover in sub13. Competing alongside them are athletes from CN Ciutadella, CM Mahón, CN Sant Antoni, CMSAP - C'an Pastilla, CV Puerto d'Andratx, CN Ibiza, CN Cala Gamba, CN Villacarlos, RCN Puerto Pollença, CN S'Arenal, RCN Palma, and CN S'Estanyol.
